FROM SMALL ACORNS
Once upon a time there was a young-ish man having a pint of ale in Winchcombe, Cheltenham; complaining bitterly about how bad it was and how he could do better.
His friend said that there was no way he could make a better beer as these guys know what they are doing and you don’t. Not being one to walk away from a challenge, a wager was made and the man bought some homebrew kit and started practising making beer.

BECOMING A BREWER
Six months later, the same man was lucky enough to walk into a pub where the Landlord was selling his brewery equipment, a few pints later a deal had been struck to purchase said kit but on the condition he taught the man how to brew.

MOVING TO OAK FARM
After an exhaustive search, Silhill Brewery moved into its current premises at Oak farm

PRODUCING OUR FIRST BEER
We brew our first beer at Oak Farm.

After a decade in Solihull, we are thrilled to expand to Aston, opening our first taproom. Enjoy our diverse selection of craft beers, live music, and street food in our new 5,000 sq ft space.
